Already 14 banks from three countries have launched international transfers in the Faster Payments System (FPS). This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank (CB) Olga Skorobogatova.
“This is when our citizens can transfer (money.— “b”) to these three countries, and the reverse mechanism will soon be activated,” she said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (quoted by RIA Novosti).
SBP launched in 2019. CB obliged banks to implement the FPS for legal entities from April 1, 2024. Government planned allocate an additional 800 million rubles. to reimburse the commission to small and medium-sized businesses for the use of the SBP. In the first quarter of 2023, the volume of FPS transactions increased doubled, up to 5.4 trillion rubles.
