YouDo: over 50% of Russian companies use self-employed services

Currently, 52% of companies in Russia already cooperate with the self-employed. Such data was provided by the head of the commercial department of YouDo Business Ilya Sidorin at the conference Retail Day: e-com, logistics, warehousesorganized by Kommersant Publishing House.

“At the moment, 52% of companies already cooperate with the self-employed, of which 89% will continue to cooperate with 30 or less freelancers on a permanent basis,” said Mr. Sidorin. According to him, most of all they work with freelancers in the areas of wholesale and retail trade, real estate and construction.

According to a joint study by YouDo Business and HeadHunter, among the main advantages of working with self-employed companies are tax reduction, ease and speed of registration, transparency and legality, as well as the possibility of easy hiring.

In July 2021, YouDo and HeadHunter announced the launch of the YouDo Business platform for the self-employed. The product allows businesses to select freelancers, optimize the costs of maintaining electronic document management, pay taxes for the self-employed in the Federal Tax Service and minimize the risks when working with them, the companies explain.

In Russia, since 2019, a special tax regime has been in place for the self-employed, under which they can provide paid services, deducting 4% of their income to the budget when working with individuals and 6% when working with companies. According to the Federal Tax Service, by April 2022, the number of self-employed Russians exceeded 4.7 million. According to the forecasts of the marketplace for the self-employed Qugo, by the end of 2024 the number of self-employed people in Russia may reach 8 million people.
