According to Izvestia, the decision to liquidate the Patriot media group was made today, June 30. Also, information about the closing of the holding is confirmed by TASS with reference to several employees of the publications included in the “Patriot”.
At the same time, only the St. Petersburg edition of Nevskiye Novosti has announced the closure of the media included in the holding. “We were glad to work for you and help you, thank you for your attention and your activity! Those were great years!” – reported in Telegrameditorial channel.
Formerly Roskomnadzor blocked sites of publications included in the media group “Patriot”. Among the portals that fell under the blocking are RIA FAN, Nevskiye Novosti, Narodnye Novosti, Ekonomika Segodnya, Politika Segodnya, Narodnye Novosti and dozens of other publications. The addresses of all portals are listed in the register of prohibited sites of the RKN. It notes that access to resources is limited, but the reasons for the blocking are not specified.
The day before, on June 29, the social network YaRus, associated with the founder of the PMC, announced its closure. The Telegram channel of the social network states that the decision to “suspend the operation” of the service was made “after a thorough analysis of the current situation.”
