The Yerevan Brandy Factory, which produces Ararat brandy, denies the information about the suspension of the export of its products to Russia. About it “Interfax” said a source at the company.
“The information about the suspension of the export of the Armenian cognac Ararat to Russia does not correspond to reality. The Yerevan Brandy Factory continues to operate as usual, fulfilling all its obligations to all partners in all countries,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The source emphasized that the plant remains committed to the principle of ensuring the continuous availability of its products to the consumer.
Last week, Pernod Ricard, owner of the Yerevan Brandy Company, announced that it had stopped exporting all international brands to Russia at the end of April 2023 and would leave the distribution of the portfolio on the Russian market within a few months. The Pernod Ricard portfolio also includes the brands Chivas Regal, Jameson, Ballantine`s, Beefeater, Absolut, Havana Club, Olmeca and others.
Yesterday, May 18, Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated that the Yerevan Brandy Factory could stop deliveries to Russia.
