Yandex, Lanit Group of Companies and Taiwanese Gigabyte have completed the construction of a plant for the production of computer equipment in Ryazan. The partners plan to start production this year. Yandex has already developed a line of OpenYard servers. The company intends to enter the equipment into the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to participate in public procurement. After adjusting the capacities, OpenYard equipment will compete with the largest Russian server manufacturer Yadro and by 2024 will occupy about 10% of the market, experts say.
