The name of the Aegean Sea is no longer displayed on Yandex Maps (MOEX: YNDX) due to a technical error during the update, the service’s press service reported. Specialists have already eliminated the violation.
“Only the name on the map is missing, but it will be back soon. At the same time, you can still find the Aegean Sea through a geosearch in Maps,” they said “RIA News” in the press service.
The service representative added that in the Aegean Sea area, parts of the map are joined, separated for ease of rendering. When updating the diagram, the geographical name disappeared because it was not in its part.
Today, December 25, journalist Arseny Vesnin reported that the name of the Aegean Sea is not displayed on Yandex Maps. The map shows labels for the neighboring Mediterranean, Ionian, Adriatic and Marmara seas, but no text appears above the Aegean. In this case, the name of the sea is displayed when you click on its territory or when using the search.
