“Yadro” announced the release of tablets – Kommersant

The Yadro group (Yadro; part of ICS Holding) announced the launch of the production of a line of tablets under the Kvadra brand (judging by the brand’s website, monoblocks and mini-PCs are already sold under this brand). The devices will be manufactured at a plant in Dubna, the flagship tablet from the Kvadra_T line will cost 39.9 thousand rubles, the company said in a statement received by Kommersant. Yadro plans to present its first device at the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia exhibition on May 31. In 2023, the line of devices is planned to be supplemented with laptops and personal computers.

The tablets run on the mobile operating system KVADRA OS, developed on the basis of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and the Russian mobile application store Rustore will be preinstalled on the devices. For clients from the corporate and public sectors, an extended version of the product will be released running the Avrora mobile OS.

The fact that the “Kernel” plans to release a tablet on its own mobile operating system, “Kommersant” informed back on April 5: the company was then looking for a team to develop a mobile operating system based on the open source Android. Judging by the data of the unified register of certificates of conformity (maintained by the Russian Accreditation Agency), the first batch of tablets of the Kvadra trademark was declared for import into Russia back in December last year. The start date for the declaration of conformity is December 16, 2022, and the end date is December 15, 2027. The tablets, judging by the declaration, were produced at one of the factories in Shenzhen, China.
