X5 Group closes deal to buy Victoria chain – Kommersant

X5 Group notified the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia that on August 14 the deal to purchase the Victoria chain, which was previously part of the Dixy Group of the co-owner of the Mercury group, Igor Kesaev and his partners, was closed. The deal did not include stores in Dolgoprudny near Moscow – they were transferred to third parties, since the X5 Group’s market share in this city reaches the 25% required by law. These were the conditions put forward by the FAS.
The retailer also extended to Victoria, Victoria Kvartal and Deshevo the chain’s existing markup limits on certain food items. X5 Group promises to send weekly information to the Federal Antimonopoly Service about average purchase and retail prices for socially important food products of the first price in these stores.
FAS reported On August 1, that it satisfied the petition of LLC “Corporate Center X 5” for the purchase of LLC “Victoria Baltiya” subject to the execution of the order of the service.
