The Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on April 28, announced that the wind farm in the region would be completed by LUKOIL.
“They will go to the power plant, which Enel, leaving, said: “We will not build”. LUKOIL picked up this project and will complete the construction,” said Mr. Vladimirov (quoted from site government of the Russian Federation).
The Rodnikovsky wind farm with a capacity of 71.25 MW in the Stavropol Territory was planned to be put into operation in 2024. The project was implemented by Enel Russia, a subsidiary of the Italian Enel. In March 2022 – after the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine – Enel announced its withdrawal from the project.
