Wildberries will test differentiated rates for new pickup points

The Wildberries marketplace will introduce differentiated tariffs for new pick-up points (PIU) in test mode. The company reported this “RIA News”. The launch is scheduled for the second quarter, the exact dates will be announced later. Tariffs will differ, including on the basis of whether there are already open points near the planned pick-up point.
“After the completion of the pilot period, the company will meet with new and “old” partners and receive feedback from them,” Wildberries said. Earlier, marketplace partners expressed concern about the emergence of an increasing number of outlets that open in close proximity to existing outlets. To resolve this situation, it was proposed either to limit the opening of new points in the immediate vicinity, or to reduce the tariff for them.
On March 9, Wildberries introduced new rules for the owners of the pickup points, and they went on strike in response. Multiple pickup point managers threatened their closure. After that Wildberries suspended write-off of new fines, spent meetings with partners, promising to improve the feedback and arbitrage system.
On March 24, the State Duma announced the readiness of marketplaces to conclude agreements with PVZ on the principles, methods and technology of collaboration. Then the Federal Antimonopoly Service recommended Wildberries set up internal arbitration to deal with vendor disputes.
