“This is an important region for us; it is logistically convenient for our network. We plan to build about 150 thousand square meters. m, this is about 9 billion rubles of investment and, I think, 7 thousand jobs,” said Ms. Bakalchuk (quoted by TASS).
Site selection is the most important aspect of the project, she said. “We are building very quickly. The location is very important for us, because the extra five to ten kilometers cost millions of rubles for entrepreneurs,” she explained.
At the end of January, it was reported that Wildberries plans to open a distribution center with an area of 154,000 square meters in the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region by the end of 2025. m. The volume of investments is also estimated at 9 billion rubles. In November 2023, the company announced plans to build a logistics complex with an area of 120 thousand square meters in Belarus – it will become the largest marketplace center in the country.
