The Russian marketplace Wildberries announced the launch of a service for the removal and disposal of unwanted household appliances and furniture, the company said in a statement.

Now residents of the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and other million-plus cities can use the express disposal of unnecessary things. In the future, this service will appear in other regions by attracting new partners, the company added. Not only large or small companies, but also self-employed citizens can sell recycling services. The commission for sellers of this category will be 5%.

At the beginning of this month, it became known that the turnover of Wildberries for the first time exceeded 1 trillion rub. Thus, in the first nine months of 2022, the company’s turnover grew by 95% year-on-year to RUB 1.1 trillion. Sales growth in pieces amounted to 76%. The total number of orders reached 954.7 million, 83% more than in the first nine months of 2021. In Q3 2022, turnover increased by 95% to RUB 420.2 billion.
