Wildberries is testing chats between sellers and buyers

Wildberries plans to launch a seller-customer chat feature and has already begun testing it with a limited group of entrepreneurs. Two large sellers on the marketplace and a source in the cloud service told Vedomosti about this. A representative of Wildberries confirmed this information. Experts interviewed by the newspaper believe that the feature will be useful for sellers, but they have concerns that it could lead to a surge in so-called buying terrorism.
The tool is now in test mode and available to 19,500 entrepreneurs, and will be expanded to all merchants in the future, a Wildberries spokesperson said. According to him, the main purpose of creating chats is to improve the service for returning defective goods. “Sellers will be able to independently check requests for the return of goods from buyers, and in the future determine the amount and format of compensation depending on the specific situation and the condition of the goods – for example, to deliver part of the goods,” he explained.
