Hans-Peter Moser was born in 1954 in Laupheim, Germany. Received education in the field of economics and enterprise management. From 1992-1995, he headed the British branch of the German air conditioner manufacturer Webasto Thermo & Comfort. From 2005 to 2012, he was Managing Director of Knorr-Bremse, a German manufacturer of brake systems for rail and freight vehicles. In 2013–2022, he headed the project “Reengineering of Automotive Production and the Creation of a Promising Family of KamAZ Vehicles”, contributed to the release of the flagship K5 trucks.
In September 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, he received Russian citizenship.
According to Spark-Interfax, as of March 2023, he was the CEO of the automobile company Hit Motors Rus LLC, owned by the Kazakh HEAT Motors LLP.
