Dubrovsky Alexey Vladimirovich was born on September 30, 1977 in Moscow in the family of People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Dubrovsky and theater expert Irina Kmit. In 1998 he graduated from the M. S. Shchepkin Higher Theater School with honors.

After graduation, he was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Youth Theater, where he served until 2013. He twice won the Golden Mask Award in the category “Best Performance” (“The Lady with the Dog” and “Rothschild’s Violin”). Simultaneously with his work at the Moscow Youth Theater, he collaborated as an actor with other Moscow venues (Taganka Theater, A. Kazantsev and M. Roshchin Center for Drama and Directing, Vs. In 2013 he joined the troupe of the State Academic Maly Theater. Among the roles played are Ledoux (“The Heirs of Rabourdin”), the King (“Cinderella”), Oswald (“King Lear”), Migaev (“Talents and Admirers”), Epikhodov (“The Cherry Orchard”).

Since 2007, he tried his hand at directing, staged the plays “The Tale of How One Man Fed Two Generals”, “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” (MTUZ), “In the Penal Colony” (Masterskaya Theatre), “The Tale of Captain Kopeikin” .
