The authorities of Munich may cancel the concert of one of the founders of the Pink Floyd band Roger Waters because of the position he takes on Ukraine and Israel, the Süddeutsche Zeitung writes.
So, earlier Waters said that radical nationalists are sitting in Kyiv, and Western countries are only “adding fuel to the fire” by supplying weapons to the Ukrainian military. After such words, his concert in Krakow, Poland was cancelled. The musician also allegedly supports the anti-Israeli BDS movement.
Waters held a concert in 2018 at the Munich Olympic Hall. However, his plans to do so again met with disapproval from the city administration. In particular, the mayor of the city, Dieter Reiter, was “very outraged” that the concert was planned by the city’s subsidiary Olympiapark München Gesellschaft (OMG) allegedly without his knowledge, specifies Süddeutsche Zeitung.
