Warren Buffett reduced his investments in Apple – Kommersant

In the fourth quarter, billionaire Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway investment fund reduced its stake in Apple Corporation. He sold 10 million shares, which is about 1.1% of the fund’s total Apple shares. Berkshire Hathaway reported this in document, filed yesterday, February 14, with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. After the sale, Berkshire Hathaway still owns more than 905 million Apple shares, valued at approximately $174 billion.
Since 2018, Apple’s shares have grown by 367%, but recently the rate of growth in the value of the company’s shares has begun to lag behind that of other technology corporations. Since the beginning of the year, Apple shares have even decreased by 4%. The company’s securities now occupy about a fifth of Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio. Some investors expect the fund to continue shorting Apple shares. Many owners of the company’s shares are guided by the actions of Berkshire Hathaway, and if the fund continues to get rid of securities, other investors may follow its example.
