Walt Disney, Lionsgate, Paramount and Sony Pictures have suspended advertising on social network X after IBM made a similar decision, writes The Hollywood Reporter. According to Axios, Apple has also stopped advertising. The decision was made against the backdrop of an investigation into the proximity of advertising to Nazi and anti-Semitic posts, as well as the words of the owner of the social network, Elon Musk, regarding Jews.

The non-profit organization Media Matters for America previously published its own investigation into the situation in X. It states that the service does not block posts that, for example, speak positively about Adolf Hitler, and his quotes are framed as inspirational statements. In addition, such posts may contain advertisements from large corporations, including IBM, Apple, and Oracle. IBM then said it had suspended advertising while it “investigates this completely unacceptable situation.”
