VTB will raise rates by 2 percentage points (pp) on mortgage loans from August 21 due to a 12% increase in the key rate. Interest rates on consumer loans will remain the same until the end of August. This was reported in the press service of the bank.
VTB will also adjust the term of earlier decisions on mortgage applications. For mortgage applications submitted before August 20, the approved terms, including the rate, will be valid until September 18. The Bank will not change the conditions for preferential mortgage programs.
“It is important for us to provide borrowers with the opportunity to take advantage of loans at low rates, so we want to give them the opportunity to plan transactions in advance,” the press service said.
August 15, following an extraordinary meeting of the Central Bank raised the key rate immediately by 3.5 basis points, up to 12%. According to the regulator, this is enough for inflation to return to 4% in 2024 in the absence of new shocks. Earlier about raising mortgage rates from August 22 announced Sberbank.
