VTB (MOEX: VTBR) plans to increase the loan portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses by 40% by the end of 2026. It is expected that by this time the client base will grow 1.5 times, said Deputy President and Chairman of the Board Denis Bortnikov.
“By 2026, we plan to increase the loan portfolio of SMB clients by 1.4 times, as well as increase the market share of financing entrepreneurs and enterprises,” says Mr. Bortnikov in a statement (his words are quoted in the press release). He named business support, infrastructure and economic transformation as priorities for the bank for the next three years.
VTB intends to continue supporting large-scale infrastructure, industrial, agricultural, and construction projects in all regions and provide micro and small businesses with “easy loans.”
