According to him, the new head of the corporation will have to “see how the work of the parent company is built”, to study financial flows and managerial, operational, accounting “at every shipyard, in every design bureau.” For each enterprise – and there are more than 40 of them – it is necessary to conduct a detailed check, Yevtukhov added.
Former Deputy Chairman of the Board VTB Andrey Puchkov was appointed CEO USC August 23. A few hours earlier, the VTB press service reported that Puchkov left the bank in connection with the transition to a new job. He has worked in the bank for over 20 years. On August 25, Andrey Kostin, head of VTB, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of USC.
For five years, VTB will receive in trust management the state-owned stake in USC, which is federally owned (belongs to the Federal Property Management Agency). Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that he expects effective management and implementation of the state order from VTB.
USC was founded in 2007. The Corporation is the largest shipbuilding holding in Russia, providing 80% of domestic shipbuilding. It includes about 40 organizations, including design bureaus, research centers, shipyards, ship repair and engineering enterprises. According to Puchkov, the company has more than 100,000 employees.
Former USC CEO Alexei Rakhmanov said in June that the corporation received about 20 billion rubles in 2022. net loss with revenue of 350 billion rubles. (USC did not officially publish reports for 2022).
