VTB retains profit forecast for 2023 – Kommersant

The growth of the retail loan portfolio since the beginning of the year amounted to 11.6% (up to 6.3 trillion rubles), the corporate loan portfolio, taking into account currency adjustment, increased by 7.1% to 13.2 trillion rubles. The share of loans to individuals in the total loan portfolio of the group did not change (32%).

In July, the IFRS group earned 35.6 billion rubles. “Net profit in July does not contain significant volatile components, which reflects our consistent efforts to minimize market risks,” Dmitry Pyanov, VTB Deputy Chairman of the Board, told reporters.

From previously disclosed RAS data for July shouldthat the profit of VTB Bank decreased by 19 times compared to the previous month (to 1.4 billion rubles). Mr. Pyanov noted that if there were no relaxations under IFRS initially, then in 2022 RAS had “a lot of strong measures of strategic support for the banking sector” used by VTB throughout the year.

According to IFRS, the bank recognized all losses in 2022, but according to RAS, the bank follows the schedule for the abolition of regulatory easing, the top manager specified. In particular, among them, he mentioned the abolition of easing since July in terms of reserving customers whose financial situation was negatively affected by sanctions.
