Since the beginning of the year, VTB’s retail customers have made more than 100,000 transfers abroad in the currencies of friendly countries. This is 3.3 times more than in the same period in 2022. At the same time, the average size of transfers decreased by more than two times. This was reported in the press service of the bank.
The total amount of transfers abroad from January to mid-July amounted to 19 billion rubles. More than 90% of this amount was sent to Kazakhstan, Belarus and Tajikistan. The average check of transfers decreased by 2.3 times, from 300 thousand to 130 thousand rubles.
“Previously, the high average check was due to the fact that cross-border transfers were available with details and were used mainly by wealthy bank customers. Now we are seeing an increase in transfers in the mass segment. Over the past three weeks alone, over 15,000 transactions worth more than 1.2 billion rubles have been carried out through the bank’s services to friendly countries,” the press service said.
