VTB Bank (MOEX: VTBR) began to conduct international money transfers with the possibility of issuing money in cash without opening a bank account. Alexey Khranilov, head of the “translations” department of VTB’s transactional retail business department, announced this RBC.
According to Mr. Khranilov, at the first stage it will be possible to transfer money in this way to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia and Abkhazia. By the end of the year, the number of partner countries is planned to increase to 20.
You can send a transfer in the VTB Online application. Clients will be able to withdraw funds from partner branches without opening a bank account. The maximum amount of one transfer is 350 thousand rubles, and the monthly limit is 500 thousand rubles. The commission will be 1.5% of the transfer amount.
Since 2022, as part of the sanctions, VTB has been disconnected from the SWIFT system, which is used for cross-border transfers. Later, the bank launched cross-border transfers to a number of friendly countries, including India, China, and almost all CIS members.
