VTB Group may return to paying dividends based on the results of 2025, First Deputy President and Chairman of the Board of the Bank Dmitry Pyanov said at the VTB forum “Russia Calling!” The head of the bank, Andrei Kostin, noted that all profits in 2023 will go to restoring the capital base.
“We will need another 2024 without dividends to fully recover the lost capital. Accordingly, 2025 may already be the first year when we can return to paying dividends in 2026 after 2025, if everything goes as we plan,” Mr. Pyanov told reporters (quoted from TASS).
Mr. Kostin noted that VTB will be able to pay dividends after it “restores capital.” “I believe that 50% is actually correct, but not based on the results of this year,” he added.
