VTB Bank (MOEX: VTBR) starting today, October 24, began accepting applications for an “Arctic mortgage.” Borrowers can apply for a home loan at 2%. Transactions will begin in early November. VTB became the first bank in Russia to adjust the Far Eastern Mortgage program for its application in the Arctic regions.

Preferential conditions for the entire loan term will be available for the purchase of real estate located on the land territory of the Arctic zone of Russia. Residents of the Murmansk region, Nenets and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous districts, as well as a number of territories of the Arkhangelsk region, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Komi and Karelia can apply for a mortgage with a minimum rate.

Now, in order to apply for an “Arctic mortgage”, clients need to contact the VTB contact center at number 1000. From November, submitting applications for loans will be available through partners, the website and VTB offices.
