Volgograd International Airport has resumed operations as usual, its press service told TASS. Airport this morning was closed for reception and departure of flights for unknown reasons.

“At the moment, aircraft arrivals and departures at Volgograd Airport are not limited, we are awaiting the arrival of all delayed flights,” said Anastasia Golodova, spokeswoman for Volgograd International Airport. Due to the closure of the airport, the flight from Moscow was delayed. Another plane went to an alternate airport in Saratov.

On December 17, the work of the Volgograd airport was limited after a drone attack. On that day, air defense systems shot down 33 UAVs in three regions of Russia. It was not reported how many drones were shot down over the Volgograd region. Today there were no reports of drones shot down over the region.
