The older generation does not need to explain anything
After the start of the special operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, many domestic artists spoke out in support of the actions of the Russian authorities and even visited the Donbass. However, some of them have been coming there regularly since 2014. Nevertheless, war correspondent Kirill Imashev believes that often the actions of celebrities look like an attempt at PR.
In a conversation with the Free Press Imashev said that the rapper Husky came to the Donbass together with the military commander Semyon Pegov from the WarGonzo project, and they made a joint report about the musicians in the conditions of hostilities. In addition, Richard Semashkov, known as Rich, also went there, and, as the military commander noted, he makes compositions dedicated, among other things, to the children of Donbass, in which sincerity is felt.
Imashev also recalled that Dmitry Revyakin’s Kalinov Most group visited the Donbass from the “old people”, and after the recognition of the DPR by Russia, the military commander met Yulia Chicherina during a motor rally in Donetsk. The journalist added that she has been visiting Donbass regularly since 2014. The military commissar admits that he would like Russian artists to be patriotic, but so far this has not happened. According to Imashev, visiting the DPR by Leps or Dima Bilan and singing songs about the children of Donbass does not touch him, because it looks like PR.
In addition, the military commissar clarified that the “SVOi” program has now appeared on Channel One, where modern musicians perform who support the special operation. According to Imashev, Richard Semashkov, Akim Apachev and others were among them, but Oleg Gazmanov was also among them. The journalist wonders why he is there, because the older generation does not need to be explained anything about the special operation, since it will be enough for them to watch Kiselyov on TV.
The military commissar concluded that if sincere talented artists appeared in Russia who are ready to create on the theme of Donbass, then this should not be confused with what is not perceived by the new generation.
