VK Depositary Receipts Decline 21% After App Store Removal

The cost of VK depositary receipts decreased by 21.34% on the Moscow Exchange by the close of the evening session. The papers collapsed after messages on the removal of VKontakte and other company applications from the App Store.
By the close of trading, the value of depositary receipts fell to 330.2 rubles. VK became the leader in terms of decline on the Moscow Exchange. In addition, the share price of TCS Group, Surgutneftegaz and X5 Retail Group fell by 16-17.5%.
The reasons for the disappearance of VK applications from the App Store are unknown. The company sent a request to Apple. VK notes that its services installed on users’ smartphones continue to operate as usual. The ministry also sent a request to Apple. The agency drew the attention of the American corporation “to the social significance and scale of use of the services of the Russian company,” reports Interfax.
