Vietnam’s national carrier Vietnam Airlines is choosing Moscow airport to resume flights to Russia, a source at one of the capital’s airports told Vedomosti and was confirmed by an interlocutor at one of the Russian airlines.
Representatives of Vietnam Airlines were in Moscow in late summer – early autumn and held negotiations with Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo, says a source at the airline. An interlocutor at the airport said that commercial proposals had been made to the carrier, and now it will choose the most suitable option for restarting flights.
Vietnam Airlines is the largest airline in Vietnam. Its fleet includes more than 100 aircraft. The fleet is based on the medium-haul Airbus A321-200 and Airbus A321neo. The company also operates long-haul Airbus A330, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
