Uzbekistan proposes to double the number of flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg

The Civil Aviation Agency of Uzbekistan (Uzaviatsia) proposed to the Russian aviation authorities to expand air traffic between the countries. We are talking about increasing the number of flights between Moscow and Tashkent, as well as St. Petersburg and Tashkent. This was told to Vedomosti by a source in one of the Russian airlines. The representative of the Russian Ministry of Transport confirmed that the proposal to expand air traffic “is on the agenda.”
It is proposed to amend the intergovernmental agreement between the countries, clarifies the source of Vedomosti. According to him, Uzbekistan Airways wants to double the number of weekly flights between the capitals, increasing them from 25 to 50, it is proposed to increase the frequency between St. Petersburg and Tashkent from 7 to 14 per week on each side. Now flights between Moscow and Tashkent are carried out, in particular, by Aeroflot, Uzbekistan Airways, UTair, Uzbekistan Airways Express, Qanot Sharq, and others.
