USM holding has a new CEO

The general director of the USM holding owned by Alisher Usmanov, Yerkozha Akylbek, left his post, Vedomosti was told in the press service of the group.
“Yerkozha Akylbek left the post of General Director of HC YueSeM LLC (USM) and resigned from the management bodies of all companies of the group,” the report says.
The post of General Director of USM will now be occupied by Oksana Gorshkova, the press service added. The reasons for this decision are not named.
Gorshkova has been working in USM structures since the group was founded in 2012. She has successively held the positions of administrative, operational and managing director of the holding, as well as managing director of USM Telecom and some other enterprises of the group.
Yerkozha Akylbek took a post of the CEO of USM in April, 2022, having replaced Ivan Streshinsky. Streshinsky continued to work on the board of directors of the holding, but on April 12 of this year he fell under US sanctions, after which came out from it, as well as the companies Metalloinvest, MegaFon and Udokan Copper.
Until April 2022, Akylbek served as First Deputy General Director, Executive Director of USM. In August – December 2021, Akylbek served as Deputy General Director for Financial Planning, Control and Internal Audit of USM, from July 2020 to August 2021 – Director for Internal Audit and Strategic Projects. Akylbek also sits on the boards of directors of USM, MegaFon, Metalloinvest, Udokan Copper, Akkermann Cement and the Advanced Technologies Development Center (CRPT). Before joining the group, he was a partner of KPMG in Russia and the CIS for almost 20 years.
