USC suspended purchases of equipment for fifty civil vessels

The shipyards of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), on behalf of the new general director Andrei Puchkov, who moved from VTB Bank, suspended the purchase of components for 50 civil ships under construction. This follows from a letter from First Deputy General Director of USC Andrei Buzinov to plant managers (Vedomosti has read the document). “We inform you about the need to suspend the implementation of projects and write off the costs of them until we receive special instructions from JSC USC and confirm the profitability and economic feasibility of implementing the projects,” the letter says.
