USC announced plans to transfer 36 vessels to civilian enterprises in 2024

In 2023, the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) delivered 25 vessels to civilian customers. By the end of this year, the company plans to increase the number of such vessels to 36, the USC press service told RIA Novosti.

“In civil shipbuilding, USC enterprises delivered 25 ships in 2023. In 2024, it is planned to deliver 36 civil vessels to customers,” the corporation said. In June last year, the then current general director of USC Alexey Rakhmanov saidthat the average annual number of vessels delivered is 19-20.

United Shipbuilding Corporation is Russia’s largest shipbuilding company, responsible for the construction of almost all military ships and most civilian ships. The corporation’s revenue for 2022, according to the company, amounted to 350 billion rubles. In September 2023, President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the transfer of OSK to the trust management of VTB.
