The Delaware Court of Chancery, which is considering billionaire Elon Musk’s demands for Twitter to provide information about the company, called most of his claims “absurdly broad.” Wherein court ruled that Twitter must provide Mr. Musk with some data related to fake accounts on the platform. Among them – information about 9 thousand accounts from the audit of the company for the fourth quarter.
Judge Kathleen McCormick said that overall, Musk’s demands, if taken literally, involve the provision of trillions of pieces of information on hundreds of millions of Twitter accounts, and “no one in their right mind has ever attempted such an attempt.”
Elon Musk accuses the social network of not giving him full information about the number of bots and spam accounts on it. In June, he said that because of this he wants to break the deal to acquire the company. Subsequently, Mr. Musk and Twitter filed lawsuits against each other, court hearings should take place in October. Mr Musk’s lawyers are demanding subpoenas for many Twitter employees, also this week they demanded from the ex-head of the service, Jack Dorsey, to provide documents about fake accounts.
