Today, at the 82nd year of his life in St. Petersburg, the theater and film actor, winner of the Nika and Golden Mask awards, Sergei Dreiden, died. Dreyden is known to the moviegoer for his leading roles in the films “Window to Paris” by Yuri Mamin, “Russian Ark” by Alexander Sokurov, “Petrovs in the Flu” by Kirill Serebrennikov and many others. “I was lucky, I starred with him in the film “Window to Paris,” actor Andrey Urgant tells MK. – From the first meeting, I had a deep respect for him, a feeling that is still preserved – it will remain so as long as I am alive. I mourn that he is gone. This is a big loss. I grieve and am very worried that our country and our city have lost such a wonderful person and a great actor.

“A wonderful artist, very subtle, sincere,” says State Duma deputy Elena Drapeko, who played in the film “Window to Paris”, the head teacher of the school, tells MK. “God, what a pity for him. And we all dreamed that we would shoot the second part. The scriptwriters have even written the script for Window to Paris in 20 years. What a good, nice person! But oddly enough, Sergei Dreiden was very cinematic. Because cinema requires absolute sincerity. The camera sees everything inside you – fake or not. Here Drayden was absolutely transparent and sincere, some kind of real. I am sincerely sorry that such a wonderful artist has left us.
