Uralvagonzavod delivered a batch of upgraded T72B3M tanks to the Ministry of Defense

The Uralvagonzavod Concern (part of Rostec) has upgraded a batch of T-72B tanks to the T72B3 model as part of the state defense order for the Russian Ministry of Defense. The new version was named T-72B3M. After modernization, the maneuverability of tanks, firepower and the level of security improved, the press service of the enterprise reported.
“Uralvagonzavod sent a batch of T-72B3M tanks to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Work on upgrading the T-72B to the level of the upgraded T-72B3 was carried out as part of the state defense order. A set of measures for the modernization of “seventy-two” was developed by design engineers of the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering (as part of UVZ),” the concern said in a statement (quoted by TASS).
The Uralvagonzavod Concern is Russia’s largest developer and manufacturer of armored weapons and equipment, as well as freight rolling stock. The main enterprise of the concern is located in Nizhny Tagil.
Employees of Uralvagonzavod, working on the state defense order, are involved in overtime work. Rostec transferred several of its enterprises to overtime work back in August. Concern attracted to work for the parent company in Nizhny Tagil 250 people sentenced to forced labor.
In July, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on special measures in the economy in the context of a military operation. It allows the government to establish the procedure and conditions for engaging in overtime work.
