Uralsib Bank announced the charging of a commission for the issuance of cash foreign currency in the amount of 5% of the transaction amount, according to website credit organization. The commission was introduced on February 20, but due to solutions The Central Bank on the extension of restrictions on the withdrawal of currency, it will not be withheld until September 9, 2023.
“Due to the fact that the Central Bank’s order on a moratorium on charging a commission from individuals when withdrawing cash currency has been extended until September 9, 2023, the bank will continue to adhere to the order and will not withhold a commission,” the bank said.
Tariff net stipulates that the commission is not withheld if a part or the full amount was credited to the account from the term deposit, including interest, within ten calendar days from the date of its expiration or prolongation. Also, there is no commission if part or the full amount of funds came from an extended term deposit, which provides for debit transactions within ten days.
Maintenance of clients’ foreign currency accounts is becoming more and more unprofitable for Russian banks. One by one, financial institutions introduce commissions to encourage customers to either switch to rubles at an unattractive rate, or withdraw currency abroad.
