Uralsib bought Citibank’s retail consumer loan portfolio

Uralsib Bank closed a deal to buy a portfolio of consumer loans to individuals from one of the largest banks in the world – Citibank. This was reported in press service Uralsib.
“The acquired portfolio includes consumer loans without collateral, further servicing of which, from the moment the portfolio is purchased, will be carried out at Uralsib Bank,” the press service said.
On August 25, Citigroup, the owner of Citibank, announced the curtailment of business in Russia, the assets of the Russian subsidiary amounted to about $10 billion. October 28, Citibank informedthat he sold his portfolio of consumer loans to Uralsib.
