As I told you TASS Ms. Kermedchieva, the rights to sublease Adidas retail space in the Russian Federation were acquired by the structure of the owner of Stockmann and Lamoda Yakov Panchenko. “This is not a completely pure purchase of a business, they did not buy a legal entity, they will continue to work in the same way and do wholesale on their own,” she noted, explaining that it is planned to open “several dozen” stores to begin with.
Adidas has suspended store operations in Russia in the spring of 2022. A Kommersant source in the retail market said in May 2023 that Adidas Maybe transfer the local unit to an alternative foreign investor. This will allow about 100 of the most profitable stores to be relaunched in a new format.
