European lingerie brand Triumph has begun closing its stores in Russia. writes Kommersant, citing sources in the retail market.
According to them, the brand can stop the work of its last facility until December 10. According to one of the interlocutors of the publication, the company was unable to establish supply chains after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed against Russia.
At the same time, in one of the marketplaces through which Triumph has relied on sales in recent years, they told the newspaper that they had not received information about the termination of supplies.
Evgenia Khakberdieva, regional director of the retail real estate department at Knight Frank Russia, told the publication that the departure of Triumph, which operates in the middle price category, will be noticeable only to the loyal audience of the brand, both Russian and foreign players remain on the market.
Triumph, operating in 45 countries, opened a Russian division in 1995. The company is headquartered in Switzerland. The revenue of the Russian “daughter” of the company in 2021 amounted to 700 million rubles.
