Two unknown paintings by Rembrandt found

Newspaper Financial Timesreferring to the auction house Christie’s, reported that two unknown paintings by the artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn were found in a private collection of works of art of one of the British families.
It is specified that this find was made after 200 years. Experts found portraits of two elderly people, which were dated 1635.
According to the representative of the auction house Gary Pettifer, the experts did not immediately understand that these were the originals of Rembrandt.
“These portraits were completely absent from Rembrandt’s literature. However, experts have confirmed the authenticity of these paintings,” he added.
