Traffic jams reappear in Far Eastern ports

In the ports of the Far East, ships are again starting to accumulate and the load on the terminals is increasing, Vedomosti found out. The information was confirmed by the participants in the transportation process, in particular, large logistics companies and shippers.
In 2021, against the background of the economic recovery from the coronavirus, serious problems began in global logistics. Sea transport and stevedores were struggling to cover the growing demand of shippers. As a result, a large number of containers accumulated in the ports of Primorye in the second half of the year. Because of this, problems arose with the northern delivery and a shortage of goods began in remote Russian regions (Magadan, Chukotka, etc.), where goods are sent using sea coastal shipping (Vedomosti wrote about this on November 17 and 30, 2021).
