Tinkoff stopped making SWIFT transfers in foreign currency to Belarus, Georgia and Tajikistan

Tinkoff Bank closed SWIFT transfers in dollars and euros to Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Mongolia. At the moment, amounts in these currencies can be transferred to a number of banks in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and China, this is stated on the bank’s website. On October 14, Tinkoff sent currency transfers to all banks in Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as to some banks in Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and China.

“SWIFT transfers in dollars or euros are now available to some banks in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and China. We do not yet perform transfers in other foreign currencies and to other countries, ”the statement says. message. It is noted that SWIFT transfers in rubles are available for some banks in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

According to the restrictions of the Central Bank of Russia, residents and non-residents from friendly countries can transfer up to $1 million or the equivalent in another currency per month.

At the end of September, Tinkoff Bank notifiedthat from October 12, incoming SWIFT currency transfers will be available only from banks in Armenia, Azerbaijan and the People’s Bank of Uzbekistan.

In early March, against the backdrop of a special operation in Ukraine, the EU disconnected Russian banks VTB, Rossiya, Otkritie, Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank and VEB.RF from the SWIFT interbank system.
