Tinkoff Bank intends to allow cards of other Russian banks to be linked to its Tinkoff Pay instant payment system in the first quarter of 2024. The service will add 65 million cards from third-party banks, the data of which was saved in the company’s ecosystem.
A bank representative told the magazine about the plans Forbes. You can link your card during your first purchase. To do this, you will need to open a special form that will appear when you click on the Tinkoff Pay button on the payment page. After this, payment will be made by clicking a button. Clients who have saved a card in the Tinkoff ecosystem will not need to link it to Tinkoff Pay, since the data will be transferred automatically when logging into the service.
Tinkoff Bank reported that the Tinkoff Pay button is used by 65% of the bank’s 40 million clients. The company promises cashback for purchases. The bank hopes that the innovations will help increase payment conversion (the percentage of successful purchases) by 19% and the average purchase receipt by 11%. Payment processing speed is expected to increase tenfold.
Alfa Bank, Sberbank, and Yandex also have their own payment systems. The first two allow you to link your bank cards to the system; in Yandex, access is open to clients of all banks. The national payment card system (Mir card operator, conducts all card transactions in the Russian Federation) has developed Mir Pay and SBPay (payment from a QR code from a bank account).
