Tinkoff Group does not recommend employees to leave Russia

The Tinkoff Group announced that it switched to a hybrid work format in 2020 and is ready to discuss the possibility of transferring employees from the office if it is important for someone to switch to a remote format. The group gave the corresponding comment to the publication Frank Medianoting that the company “at the same time does not recommend employees to leave the country.”
Previously Frank Media citing sources, it was reported that Tinkoff-Bank recommends employees who left Russia to choose three countries for placement: Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
“Back in 2020, we switched to a hybrid work format: most employees can work remotely and visit the office when necessary (team days, meetings, etc.),” the Tinkoff group replied to the publication’s request, noting , which does not recommend employees to leave Russia.
Approximately 70% of the employees of the headquarters in Moscow are IT specialists, the Tinkoff group reports. In total, by the end of 2021, almost 26 thousand people worked in it. The bank’s press service did not specify what proportion of employees are now working outside of Russia.
On April 28, it was reported that Interros Capital Ltd, owned by Norilsk Nickel co-owner Vladimir Potanin, bought the family of Tinkoff Bank founder Oleg Tinkov has 35% in TCS Group, which owns Tinkoff Bank and Tinkoff Insurance. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
As of January 2022, Tinkoff Bank ranked 13th in terms of assets and 12th in terms of equity among Russian banks.
