The route, means of transportation, places to visit and stay overnight, dishes for lunch, as well as any other activities are determined by the fortune cookies offered by Timur to his travel companion. The star presenter has an enviable experience of participating in television travel adventures, but he has not yet traveled with strangers. “MK” contacted the presenter and listened to his first impressions.
About selecting travel companions
It was important for me to see sparkling eyes, a willingness to go to great lengths with me, and a sincere desire to explore this world, and not just get on TV. By the way, there were no age restrictions at all. The program will include both very young boys and girls, as well as adult men and even grandmothers. During the casting, what struck me most was that even through the phone and computer screen, watching video business cards, I truly fell under the spell of my future travel companions. Most of them turned out to be so genuine that there was practically no doubt about their candidacies.
About traveling with a stranger
This, of course, is not easy. After all, a stranger is not at work, he should not categorically accept everything that happens, he may refuse to do something, go somewhere, try something. But this is a plus, because emotions are not played out, we are not watching a star guest or presenter who, using certain techniques, does not open up to his viewer to the end, does not live it one hundred percent, obeying instincts.
About surprises for a travel companion
The person does not know where he is going, but this is the most harmless surprise of all that he will experience. Literally at every step, my fellow travelers found themselves in situations from which they experienced many different emotions, from delight and tenderness to surprise and fear. We don’t just have a travel show, but also an opportunity to learn the culture, traditions and cuisine of other countries. And all this may be very unusual for us.
About packing for the trip
The main thing is not to forget something for the stomach. By the way, I’m not joking. In some of the countries we visited, the level of experimentation was so shocking that even I did many things for the first time as part of The Fellow Traveler. And I didn’t always feel comfortable and calm. But I gave my word to go through every single test with my fellow travelers, no matter what they get. I still don’t understand how we all survived.
