Three-time Eurovision participant from Germany Henry Valentino has died

In Overath, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, German singer-songwriter Hans Blum, also known as Henry Valentino, died at the age of 95.
The Spiegel newspaper reports that the singer’s death was confirmed by his family. The report said he passed away peacefully at home overnight, just as he wanted.
Hans Blum became famous back in the 60s. The main hit is considered to be the song “Im Wagen vor mir” recorded in 1977 with his duet partner. Overall, he created a distinctive style of German schlager, which became a source of inspiration for a whole generation of German musicians.
In addition, he wrote three songs that were performed at different times by German participants at the Eurovision Song Contest, and acted there as a conductor. These are the song “Anouschka” performed by Inge Brücke in 1967, which is still popular in Germany, the song “Primaballerina”, which was performed in 1969 by Siv Malmqvist and “Über die Brücke geh’n”, which was presented in 1986 by Ingrid Peters .
