They decided to place the Plyatskovsky Museum in the DPR on the sites of the Beregovoy Cosmonaut Museum

Information that appeared in the media about the transfer to the DPR of the first materials from the archives of songwriter Mikhail Plyatskovsky for the future museum was confirmed. The MK correspondent found out that negotiations about the new institution are being conducted with the local authorities of Yenakievo, as well as at the level of the Ministry of Culture of the republic.

According to Andrei Baturin, president of the Union of Composers of Eurasia, there are plans to place a new museum in the vacant premises of the existing Museum of Cosmonaut Georgy Beregovoy. The author of the songs “I’ll Take You to the Tundra”, “Raspberry Berry” and “The Roof of Your House”, as you know, was born in the Donbass.

The head of the culture department of the Yenakievo administration, Lyubov Sebko, told MK that the Plyatskovsky Museum could appear in secondary school number 2, located in the very center of the city.

However, one of the initiators of perpetuating the memory of the poet in his small homeland, President of the Union of Eurasian Composers Andrei Baturin, outlined a more complete picture:

– Initially, the conversation was with the director of the school where Plyatskovsky studied. Then, discussing the idea with the Minister of Culture of the DPR, Mikhail Zheltyakov, we came to the conclusion that the author, on whose works the best generations of our citizens were brought up, deserves a more spacious premises. Mikhail Vasilyevich expressed the idea that there are free premises in the Yenakievo Museum of Cosmonaut Georgy Beregovoy. You could make a separate museum there.

However, we emphasize that there is no final decision on the location of the museum yet.

In any case, the songwriter’s daughter Natalya Plyatskovskaya (Prostorova) is ready, through like-minded people, to transfer the next batch of exhibits to Donbass: a table, a typewriter, personal belongings.

At this stage, Mikhail Plyatskovsky’s notebooks, documents and manuscripts were taken to the mining region as a test “parcel”.
