Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the government does not plan to introduce a new ban on the export of diesel fuel. He clarified that the situation with fuel volumes and prices is stable, and oil refineries have increased production after drone attacks on some refineries.

“No, we produce diesel in sufficient volume – twice as much as is required for the domestic market. (If exports are banned – Kommersant), there will be nowhere to put it,” Mr. Novak told reporters (quoted from TASS).

He added that the measures introduced by the government ensure stability of prices and market supply of fuel. According to him, after the attacks on some refineries, other plants increased production, which made it possible to increase the supply of gasoline and diesel to the stock exchange.

February 29 government introduced ban on gasoline exports from March 1 to August 31. As the authorities explained, the decision is aimed at maintaining stability in the fuel market during a period of increased demand.
